About Me

Hi, my name is Carole and I am addicted to sweets.  I don't just have just one sweet tooth, they are all sweet.  My husband used to make fun of me because he couldn't understand why I needed to eat a little sweet after each meal.  Now he sees it's not just after every meal, but also before meals, in between meals.  It has taken 12 years, but now he knows the way to keep my happy is to bring home something chocolate.

I have always liked to bake and have gotten compliments on my sweet treats.  I may not have gotten my mom's cooking genes, but I did get her baking genes.  Of course, that means I have a hard time getting into my jeans. Lol. 

I started this blog after my son was born.  I needed a new creative outlet, scrapbooking wasn't doing it for me anymore.  Since, I read a lot of food blogs, I thought I would give it a try.  I am glad I did. Not only has it gotten me to bake more, which makes me happy (and everyone who eats my treats), but it has also made me want to come up with my own recipes.  It has also forced me to improve my photography.  I am actually learning how to use my 6 year old camera in something other than auto mode.

When I am not blogging, I work full-time as an office manager for my parents-in-law's homemaker and companion agency for the elderly.  I am fortunate to be able to bring my energetic 2 year old son with me to work.  It does get very hectic, but I have the help of the other family members I work with.  I am also a mom to a very creative 6 year old daughter and wife to a wonderfully supportive husband.

Life is crazy, but a little something sweet helps me get through.
