Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Fudge

Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Fudge by The Sweet Chick
There's just something about putting booze in fudge that I like.  It brings it to a whole other level like this Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Fudge.  Yep, I said bourbon AND bacon.  Have I piqued your interest yet?  I had never tried bourbon till I made this fudge, so I took a swig while prepping the ingredients.  It's a mighty fine drink, I must say.  It's smoother than I though it would be.  One of my neighbors lent me the bottle to make this recipe, but they may not get it back.

Lemon Blueberry Basil Rice Krispie Treats

Things have been pretty busy over here.  We had some out of town family come to visit last week and this week my parents are driving down to see out house for the first time since we moved.  I haven't has much time to play around in the kitchen, but I wanted to make something for when my parents come.  I think they are going to like these Lemon Blueberry Basil Rice Krispie Treats.  They were inspired by a lemon basil martini I had last week when I was out to dinner.

Mother's Day Brunch Treats 2014

Just offering up a little inspiration for Mother's Day brunch treats.  I haven't decided what I will be making yet, maybe some muffins or scones. Or maybe I will just pick something out for someone to make for me, so I can kick off my shoes and relax!

Biscoff Cookie Dough Pops

Do you buy your mother flowers on Mother's Day?  Well, how about making some instead.  These Biscoff Cookie Dough Pops are perfect for a special occasion and a special person.  Kids can also get in on the action, if they don't eat all the cookie dough first.  It is pretty irresistible.  If you like Biscoff Cookie Spread, you are going to love Biscoff Cookie Dough.  It's a wonderful combination of Biscoff flavor and raw chocolate chip cookie dough (don't worry, no eggs involved).  You've gotta try it!

Strawberry Coconut Banana Muffins

Strawberry Coconut Banana Muffins by The Sweet Chick
It's time to get ready for Mother's Day coming up.  My in-laws will be in town, so we will probably go out to eat for lunch or dinner on Sunday, but I still wanted to have a treat for the morning.  I was looking for something light and full of fruit.  I really liked the Maple Strawberry Banana Muffins I made last year, so I based these Strawberry Coconut Banana Muffins off of that recipe.  I exchanged the oil and maple syrup for some coconut oil.  I have been wanting to try baking with coconut oil, so here was my chance.  Now my muffins are even healthier!
